Provision of AFTC and addition / alteration to the automatic signaling in Mankhurd - Raoli - Mahim Section:
Mankhurd – Raoli Jn. - Mahim section is one of the busiest and most sensitive Suburban sections in the harbor branch of Mumbai division of central railway.

Dispersion of trains from CSTM takes place at Raoli Jn. a RRI installation. The key point gets operated for every alternate train for diversion to Bandra and Mankhurd sides, where trains run at a 4 minute frequency during Peak Hours. Suburban trains are stationary for only 3 hours. This section is notorious for its unhealthy environmental ground conditions particularly between Raoli and Mahim stations. Where track premises are full of slush and night soil and many hesitate to work in this area.

In spite of these adverse conditions, we took the challenge to execute the work under these conditions, taking adequate precautions with close co-ordination of railway engineers with out any disruption to the movements of the suburban trains over the section. The project included replacement of outdated signaling equipments also under traffic conditions.
